gaelic football- a fast and exciting sport, which is similar to aussie rules, and the Irish and Austrailians play a 2 match series every year.
Hurling- the fastest outdoor ball sport in the world, you hit a ball (callled a sliothar) into the other net, using a hurley (camman in irish)

No it's a mix between galic football and Australian Rules Football there is soccer goals and rugby goals if you score it in the soccer golas that's 6 points if inside of the footy goals thats 3 points and they play with a vollyball sorta thing and you have to takle people and stuff it's really hard to explain but its the greatest game its so good on TV and last year I went and saw them play at the Telstra Stadiam (That's where the olympics were in 2000)

i think KG is tryin 2 explain the austrailien version, here is how you really play it: 15 players on each team 1 Goalkeeper 3 full backs (right, left, centre) 3 half backs (right, left, centre) 2 midfielders 3 half forwards (right, left, centre) 3 full forwards (right, left, centre)
you can only have 4 seconds without bouncing or toe-tapping the ball, you cannot bounce the ball twice in a row.
the nets are the same as rugby nets, and if you kick it past the goalkeeper into the net you get 3 points, and if you kick it over the bar you get 1 point.
it is very phisical, and you can push people and grab people alot.

o yea, and the ball is a circle, size 5, which is the size of a football, except it is heavier and harder.

it is also made of very tough leather, gaelic is a very physical sport but hurling can cause greater injurys, i was watching a hurling match and someone jumped up to catch the sliothar and someone else jumped up with their hurley to hit the ball on, not a pretty site. to make a long story short, the guy that went up for the catch walked off with a broken knuckle.
although in gaelic, someone was getting pushed a lot and they got shouldered one more time, went too fast and his chin bone pierced his skin.
